I
was born in Stacksteads, Bacup, Lancashire, England on 9
Oct 41. Both my parents are from Irish decent. My mother
was a Lancashire Lass, born from Irish parents. My father
was born in Ireland, on the boarders of Rosscommon and
Mayo, in a place called Derry, Taveranne. Many of my
relatives still live there. I lived in England until
1991, when I married a Yank and moved first to Germany
and then to the U.S. I currently live in Lancaster, PA,
USA. Among other things, I enjoy walking with my golden
retriever, Winchester and playing the guitar and banjo.

I
have a strong musical background. My mother
forced the piano on me at an early age, but I was
able to apply those lessons to the guitar. I've
played a guitar since the early 60's. Mostly rock
and roll, Irish songs, and Country music. About 5
years ago, I taught myself to play the banjo.
I've been hooked ever since. In the near future,
I'll put recordings of myself playing the banjo.
It's my dream to someday play with a bluegrass
band.

Since
I retired from Sutton Manor Pit, in St. Helens, on
Merseyside, England I spend more time with my dog every
day observing his antics. Here are a few tips we could
all use:
* Never pass
up the opportunity to go for a ride in the country.
* Always allow the experience of fresh air and wind in
your face to become pure ecstacy.
* When loved ones come home, always run and greet them.
* When it is in your best interest, try to be obedient.
* Always let others know when they have invaded your
territory.
* Take frequent naps and always stretch before rising.
* Always run, romp, swim and play, for your daily
exercise.
* Always eat with gusto and enthusiasm.
* Always be loyal to your best friend.
* Keep on digging for what you want, one day you will
find it.
* When your friend is having a bad day, sit close, be
silent, but always be ready to respond.
* Always thrive on attention and let people touch you.
* Avoid biting, when a simple growl will do.
* On hot days, drink lots of water and lay under a shady
tree.
* When you are scolded, never hold a grudge, simply run
back and make friends.
* Know where your home is and always return.
* Delight in the simple joy of a long
walk...................
